Hello, I’m Smrti [s m r ih - tee]!

I’m a designer inspired by diverse cultures, with experience spanning both fashion and research. With a Masters in Design and an MBA, I combine the creativity of design with strategic business insights to turn ideas into impactful solutions. My goal is to integrate systems thinking, participatory design, and behavioral principles to drive social change.

Design has always been a powerful tool for me to address societal challenges. My drive to design for equity and social justice is deeply rooted in my personal journey—from growing up in a developing country to navigating life as a woman of color in the US.

I’m endlessly curious and love to explore new things. For example, I even taught myself to code the interactive elements of the website using P5.js.

When I'm not designing, I'm usually practicing Bharathanatyam (an Indian classical dance form), unwinding with yoga, or exploring my surroundings.

Fun Fact: I have a deep love for all things colorful, humorous, and edible. I've even worked on an ice cream truck!
